My name is Hana T. and I am a full-time student at Ohio University. There is nothing that I love more than to travel, learn, grow, share and experience all that I can. For me, there is nothing more fulfilling than experiencing new cultures and be taken outside of my comfort zone in the process, all while helping the world in some way. I am fortunate enough to have a family who values education, travel, service or any other meaningful adventure and supports me in all of my endeavors. Thanks to the Live Like Ally Foundation, I am able to continue these pursuits this summer as I travel to Rabat, Morocco.
I will be working with a group of many other like-minded volunteers to help the surrounding community wherever we are most needed at the time. I am so excited to have the opportunity to do this and am so glad to be able to make a positive impact on the community and people of Rabat. I can’t wait to see how I learn and grow from the people that I will be able to meet and the experiences that I will have. One of my favorite parts about travel and service is the way in which my viewpoints, connections, and ideas change in the process.
In the conversations that I have had about Ally and the things that I have read it is clear to me that she had a bigger understanding of life and human connection than most adults far beyond her age. I am so humbled to be able to continue spreading the message that she lived and the love that Ally embodied. Each day I will continue to “feel deeper, think higher”.
